Working in the same stream of creating an aesthetic effect by juxtaposing the organic and the synthetic, I was inspired to do a flowing weft and warp. In nature everything seems to have its own logic, its own movement. Nothing is truly vertical nor truly horizontal. There something of a dancing movement.
I deliberately created open see-through spaces in the composition in order to give it breathing spaces and thereby avoiding a ‘tapestry effect’. I used natural hessian, sisal wrapping string and scraps of heated synthetic fabric from discarded produce bags to give the joyful impression that “it happened on its own”.
