Full holes

Full holes

I wanted to explore and render visually the fact that we don’t have a bifocal vision. We cannot see the full spaces and the empty spaces at the same time, only simultaneously.
I called it Full holes to show that if we look into the holes long enough these tend to fill out. Emptiness becomes its own type of fullness. I chose a humble natural material, sisal wrapping string, to make the work minimalist and meditative.
